The Sheffield Sea Cadets joined the Royal Naval Associations
in a service which was held in the Cathedral on Sunday 5th May
in Rememberance of those who lost their lives on the
HMS Sheffield (during the Falklands War) on 4th May 1982.

The Lord Mayor visited the Sea Cadets Unit on 11th April 2013
where he met the cadets and presented the Cadet of the Year Awards.
Many congratulations on achieving these awards.
Cadets should not be wearing uniform in any public place (especially travel to/from the unit) until further notice
A Vintage Tea was held at the Millennium Hall, Ecclesall Road onTuesay 4th June 2013.A selection of sandwiches, cakes and refreshments were available throughout the afternoon. There was also a display table full of memorabilia and a raffle was held to help raise extra funds. It was much appreciated for all the support given to help raise £201.95. A very big thank you also goes out to The Polish Clubfor their donations and help throughout the day. Thanks Shawn and Judith.

In Remembrance of HMS Sheffield
The evening started off with light refreshments then to the main
deck for a display from both the Royal Marine Cadets and Sea
Cadets. This was followed by the pie and pea supper where the
fabulous "pies" were served (as provided by Harthill Butchers).
A raffle and bingo game ended the evening. Everyone had a
wonderful time. On the night we managed to raise £282.00
which included a cash donation from Lisa Foster and the customers
of the High House Pub). Thank you all very much.
