Cadets from Southampton Sea Cadets Joined Cadets from Winchester Unit,Royal Navy Reservists and members of the Army joinied together as standard bearers at the annual Winchester Shipping Festival. The festival pays tribute to those working at or lost their lives at sea.
Southampton Unit were celebrating after coming 1st place in the District Power Boat Handling on the 8th of June.
This involves cadets working as a team to control the boat and carry out given tasks.
This takes a lot of hard work and practice.
Well done to all cadets who took part.
Cadets and staff took part in a continuity drill display as part of the D-Day Celebrations in Southampton in memory of those fallen in France.
Continuity drill involves cadets and as taff memorising an entire drill display and carrying it out in silence with no instruction. This requires precision and skill.
Cadets from Southampton Unit were joined by two cadets from Cowes unit for the practice expedition for Bronze Duke of Edingburgh Award.
They spent the weekend in the new forest, camping over nigh, showing off their cooking skills and working l as a team.
