Our drummers, along with cymbal player Junior Cadet McKenzie and drummers from Sefton Unit, performed on stage to open the 70th Anniversary of D Day at The Royal Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool in June. They had an amazing time and were given a huge applause by all who attended.
We welcomed the North West Area Officer Cdr Mark Irwin RN, Guest of Honour Lord Ronnie Fearn and Family and Friends, to our Formal Royal Navy Parade Inspection (RNP) on Thursday 27 March.
Our Band performed and POC Brooks gave a presentation of all we have achieved over the past year.
The Area Officer was massively impressed by the enthusiasm of all our staff and cadets and said our band is outstanding and we are without doubt a fantastic advertisement for the Sea Cadet Corp.
Medal winners again this year - Silver in the Piping Team event and Bronze in the Individual Piping - AC Woods
Our Cadets were successful in this year's District Engineering Competition coming third winning Bronze Medals.
This isn't a competition we traditionally do well in but thanks to great teaching from our Engineering Instructor PO(SCC) Cook, this year was different.
