SHIPWRIGHTS COURT

Another busy week which included a visit to the historic Aldermen's Court Room within City of London's Guildhall.

Kirk represented Southwark Unit at the Shipwright's Court during which he was presented with a bursary for a cruise aboard the Sea Cadet tall ship TS Royalist.

After the ceremonies cadets from Southwark, Clapton and Merton formed a carpet guard for the many distinguished guests at the banquet which followed.

DEPUTY LIEUTENANT CERTIFICATE

Congratulations to Able Cadet Alfie Button on the award of a RFCA London Deputy Lieutenant Certificate.

This will be presented at a prestigious event during 2016 by Representative Deputy Lieutenant Southwark, Jenny Bianco.

DISTRICT DRILL AND PIPING

First place for Able Cadet H Tutt in the individual piping event at RMR London.

Watch out for the Area Drill & Piping at CTC Blackheath on Sunday 3 April 2016.

WHT's

Next it was off to Beckenham SC Unit for the day for Weapons Handling Tests on the No 8 .22 rifle.

WHT''s are an essential part of Skill at Arms training with training and assessment by Royal Marine Cadet SAA qualified staff.

No one can take part in live firing without this training and now cadets are qualified to take part in the forthcoming District small-bore target shooting competition.
