Approaching Christmas and the unit supported the Walworth Lantern Parade.
InSpire presents the yearly Walworth Lantern Parade on Friday 11th December 2015.
The evening will started with the lively lantern procession through the streets of Walworth with lanterns decorated by the young people that attend 2InSpire Youth Clubs and some other local groups.
Into December but still plenty of activities available to Southwark Sea Cadets in 2015.
3 cadets travelled to HMS Raleigh in Cornwall to train with the Royal Navy.
HMS Raleigh was commissioned on 9 January 1940 as a training establishment for the Royal Navy and today is the modern-day basic training facility of the Royal Navy at Torpoint.
It was a damp day for 800 years of the Lord Mayor's Show but Southwark Sea Cadets were out in force with several in the London Area Sea Cadets marching platoon and others on the Sea Cadet float.
We will be back next year on Saturday 12 November 2016 with warm and sunny weather.
After attending the Remembrance Day service it was off to Royal Victoria Dock for the final part of a BCU Foundation Safety and Rescue Training course.
Next it will be BCU Level 1 Coach training.
