While no trophies today the Junior Sea Cadet team finished 2nd and Senior team 3rd as well as 3rd place in the individual CPR section.

Well done to the UMC members and cadets for organising a fund raising car boot sale on August Bank Holiday. Also thanks to everyone who donated items for sale.

Brands Hatch is a motor racing circuit near Swanley in Kent. First used as a dirt track motorcycle circuit on farmland, it hosted 12 runnings of the British Grand Prix between 1964 and 1986 and currently holds many British and International racing events.

Junior 1st Class Katherine East spent a weekend away with other Junior Sea Cadets from London Southern District. The event was organised by Sutton unit, TS Puma, with accommodation at there spacious unit HQ. Many activities were included including walking, swimming and photography but most important was the opportunity to meet other Junior Sea Cadets from the District.

Callum Peek enjoyed an activity packed week on the London Area Summer Camp 2014. Luxurious accommodation and excellent food was provided courtesy of the British Army. London Area SCC and RMC staff provided a wide range of activities including sport, shooting, waterborne and climbing. Crowborough Camp is not new to Callum but this provided the opportunity to meet and work with many cadets from other London Sea Cadet units.
