St Helens Sea Cadets awarded a Burgee for 2015-16!

After a very successful year in 2015, Scimitar was awarded another Burgee! This flag represents the upper strata of the Sea Cadet Corps and signals the major improvements/achievements the ships company have completed in 2015-16. A massive thank you to all the Adult Volunteers and Cadets that made this possible (both Past & Present)

A message from Aaron Greenall (OIC 2014-16)

"T.S Scimitar I have been informed by PO Dillon of the good news of receiving a Burgee tonight. I would like to pass on my congratulations to each and everyone of you, as I know how hard you have all worked throughout the year to achieve this prestigious achievement.

I know you will all smash it again this coming year and look forward to hearing about all the exciting times and great adventures that you all get up to.

I will always hold Scimitar close to my heart and continue to be a massive supporter of her Ships Company.

A generous donation to TS Scimitar...

A very generous donation was made to TS Scimitar on Monday 21st March by the late Mr Robert Owens. Sadly Robert passed away recently and in his will he left £1000 donation to TS Scimitar and its cadets as part of his legacy. Robert was a cadet at TS Scimitar over 55 years ago. On Monday evening, Tom Owens (Brother), Robert Junior Owens (Son) & Mathew Owens (Grandson) presented the cheque to the Cadets. We would like to personally thank the Owens family for such a gift to our cadets as this will be used towards funding cadet courses. Thank you.
