Over twenty cadets from the unit took part in the weekend which included cooking in the field, washing & cleaning in the field, map reading, compass work, first aid and a practical navigation exercise. All cadets passed their basic campcraft with three going on to achieve Proficiency. The Royal Marines Cadets had their own syllabus for the weekend, which involved spending two nights under bivvys in their harbour area, and studying intermediate and advanced field craft in advance of their promotions boards.
