Over the past few weeks the Cadets in the Powerboat Group have been:

📝 Training for their Level 1 and Level 2 RYA Powerboating Certification which includes within the syllabus:

🚤 Comfortable Handling of the Boat
8️⃣ Figure of 8’s (Forwards & Backwards)
🏊‍♀️ Man Overboard

PO (SCC) C Wilkinson - RYA Safety Boat 

PPO (SCC) K Cohen - Paddlesport Rescue Safety Training 

PPO (SCC) K Cohen - Core Seamanship

Well done to everyone for your hard work and dedication to providing a great Cadet experience

I'm delighted to announce that following this years Inspections our unit has been awarded a pennant. A pennant is the second highest award of recognition a unit can achieve.

This is in recognition of the outstanding committee both volunteers and most importantly cadets have displayed toward the unit and the Sea Cadets. Bravo Zulu to every single member of TS Duke of Lancaster for their hard work over a very difficult time.

Lakeland District will be holding it's annual summer camp at SCTC Weymouth. There will be lots of exciting opportunities both on and off the water for Senior Cadets (Cadets aged 12+) to get involved in.

If you're interested in booking a place let CI (SCC) Newsham, Unit Training Officer, know. Be quick places are limited and will fill up fast!

The next District course is now open for booking. This course is for Seniors only, Juniors keep your eyes peeled for upcoming opportunities for you.
