Although we had a slow and disruptive start to our boating season due to the theft of our equipment caused a delay to our return to boating support from the Lakeland District units and the North West Area Sea Cadets meant that training and enthusiasm were not curbed completely and with the help out outside support we managed to complete get back on the water during June. Although this did not allow for much time to complete a full season we still managed to give cadets the target average of 15+ hours on the water.
Waterborne qualifications gained included; RYA Power Level 1 and cadets working towards Level 2. Rowing taster certificates, rowing Competent Crew qualifications and Rowing Supervised Coxswain qualifications. Alongside these qualifications some of our cadets worked towards BCU Kayaking & Stand-Up Paddleboard qualifications which will be completed in the future.
Thank you to everyone who supported us getting back to what we love.
