Two of our Cadets, CFC Finn and CFC Conner were on TS John Jerwood last week. Lots of good photos here, looks like they had a great time.
If any of our Cadets wish to go on Sea Cadet offshore voyages please come and see the Training Officer.

This weekend four of our Cadets participated in the National Sailing and Windsurfing Regatta held in Southport, Merseyside. We also had 4 of our adult volunteers involved with the team running the event, who travelled up earlier in the week.
To take part in the National Sailing and Windsurfing Regatta Cadets have to first qualify. Our Cadets had progressed after winning their events at both Wessex District Sea Cadets and Southern Area Sea Cadets Regattas earlier in the year. They were up against the best from around the country.
We had a mixture of wind conditions, light and breezy, a little rain and some sun. A good test for any sailor. Our Cadets sailed extremely well and came home with some fantastic results. The best every for Salisbury Unit at this event and also assisted Southern Area Sea Cadets in winning the overall Regatta trophy.
The Results:
1st place – RS Zest class – LC Jasmine
1st place – 4.5m Windsurfing – AC Jasmine
2nd place – Pico Class – OC Tamar
4th place – 6.5m Windsurfing – AC Sam
The unit's individual results also heavily contributed in Southern Area Sea Cadets winning first place for the area with the best combined results!
On Saturday, some of our Sea Cadets joined members of the RNLI to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the founding of the charity, which has saved countless lives in British waters over that duration.
The Cadets helped with collections and attended the presentation where they were thanked for all their help.
Well done to POC Rosie who has been on her Lord Lieutenant Cadet for Wiltshire duties. This time it was at Stonegate Farmers, in support of the Lord Lieutenant Mrs Sarah Troughton, opening of a new HQ by Her Majesty The Queen, Camilla.
The Egg packing and distribution company provides 15% of the UK’s market for fresh eggs - packing with modern robotics and 450 personnel a staggering 20 million eggs a week.
Her Majesty was escorted around the factory before an unveiling of a plaque, a speech then her departure.
We are very excited to announce that Petty Officer Cadet Matt, who spent last week at Thrapston Boat Station and completed and passed his RYA Start Windsurfing Instructor.
This makes POC Matt one of only three RYA Start Windsurfing Instructors within the unit, and the only cadet to hold this qualification.
