ROYAL NAVAL PARADE 2014 - RESULTS 29-09-14

I am extremely pleased to announce that our Royal Naval Parade results are in . . . . drum roll please . . .

We finished on an impressive 85 points, so have retained our Burgee status for 2014.

An incredible amount of hard work is put in by the cadets, the uniformed instructors, unit assistant's and the Unit Management Committee on an ongoing basis and everyone should be extremely proud of this result!

BZ to you all

At the recently held Royal Navy Parade on 22-09-14 Commander Nigel Morton (Royal Navy) presented a trophy to Gordon Moore for all the Fundraising work he has done for the Unit over the years.

Gordon has now retired from this and passed the responsibility on to his daughter.

Mayors Charitable Donation 24-09-14

Within Solihull the Mayor officially stands for a period of 12 months.

At the end of this period the previous year’s Mayor of Solihull distributes to local charities the funds raised by events held for the benefit of the ‘Mayors Charity’.

This year we were fortunate in being one of the chosen Charities and received a donation of £250.

The picture shows the Cadets and Staff at Solihull Council chambers after receiving the cheque from the past Mayor, Councillor Joe Tildesley.

23rd September 2014 was our annual Royal Naval Parade and we had the pleasure of welcoming the Area Officer South West Sea Cadets, Commander Nigel Morton Royal Navy.

I'm pleased to say that evening went very well and we are extremely proud of the efforts of the cadets, uniformed adults, UMC, supporters, parents and guests.

We also hope the Mayor of Solihull (Cllr Kate Wild) and her consort (Mr Jim Wild) enjoyed their evening although they where not the principal guests.

Thank you
