Well done to all the cadets from Shirley taking part in the District Swimming Comp yesterday at Nuneaton.
Congratulations to JC Burcher who was 1st in the Junior Freestyle and AC Rose who was runner up in the Open Girls Breaststroke.
We came an impressive 7th overall in the competition, well done.
All this without any practice
Two of our cadets, Able Cadets James Coughlin and Jamie-Lea Bourne will return from the National Combined Regatta with Silver Medals, finishing in 2nd Place overall in the Open Mixed Yole.
Amazing achievement
On Friday 22-08-14 our Junior Sea Cadets got the opportunity to visit Solihull Community Fire Station for a guided tour and had the chance to try on the clothing and use the fire hose. A very enjoyable night was had by all

On Sunday 3rd August 2014 Cadets and Staff took part in a WW1 Memorial service at the Legion Branch
On Saturday 2nd August 2014 Cadets and Staff took part in a joint event at the main entrance to Shirley Park.
The first of these was the re-dedication of a commemorative plaque to the victims of WW1 donated by Shirley RBL.
The second was the official opening of the re-vamped Shirley Park
