Southwark Sea Cadets supported Party in the Park on a sunny and hot Saturday in June

There were many local people out enjoying the sunshine and stalls at St.Peter's annual 'Party in the Park' in Faraday Garden's located close to Walworth Road and East Street.

Congratulations and well done

During a fine afternoon in June a number of international military bands entertained the crowds with a series of musical performances in and around St James's Park i.e. Canada Gate, Marlborough Road, Duke of York Steps, before joining a number of young people, cadets and additional bands to form a parade leaving Horse Guards Parade at 6:15pm to march along The Mall to meet the Waterloo Dispatch accompanied by a Mounted Escort of the Household as it returns from St James's Square.

Southwark cadets formed part of the Sea Cadet contingent for the march from Horse Guards, along the Mall and past Buckingham Palace to Constitution Hill.

Staff and cadets from Southwark assisted at the British Heart Foundation London to Brighton Bike Ride. Over 32,000 cyclists set off from Clapham Common to enjoy the 54 mile journey that takes you from the bustling capital, through breathtaking country lanes to the finish line at Brighton's famous seafront. TS Cossack manned check points 1 to 6 which are possibly the most difficult taking in the start through some of the busiest roads. Interested, we need volunteers for the Prudential Bike Ride in Central London in early August.

Cadets assisted at the Annual Summer Ball held at Drapers Hall within the City of London.

The Drapers’ Company has a special collection of works of art, silver and artefacts at Drapers’ Hall. This collection has been created and developed over the centuries. Cadets took time off to pose for photographs in front of portraits of Admiral Nelson and the Duke of Wellington.
