During a fine afternoon in June a number of international military bands entertained the crowds with a series of musical performances in and around St James's Park i.e. Canada Gate, Marlborough Road, Duke of York Steps, before joining a number of young people, cadets and additional bands to form a parade leaving Horse Guards Parade at 6:15pm to march along The Mall to meet the Waterloo Dispatch accompanied by a Mounted Escort of the Household as it returns from St James's Square.
Southwark cadets formed part of the Sea Cadet contingent for the march from Horse Guards, along the Mall and past Buckingham Palace to Constitution Hill.
