Well Done Zoe.

Congratulations on your appointment to Petty Officer (SCC). After 2 years hard work you have completed your basic training and have become a substantive Senior Rate.

Since starting at the unit you have done some great things and getting us to Nationals for the Colour Party has been a crowning moment.

Well done and best of Luck.

Were off to the nationals!

After several months of training the colour party is off to National Drill and piping. If we had champagne here we would be raising a toast to some excellent young people. As it is Ian and Zoe are bouncing off the walls. A really big well done to the staff and Cadets that produced this brilliant result.

As to the RMCD to come Second with 4 plus 1 was another brilliant result. Thanks to Tim and his cadets.

District Drill and Piping Competition

District Drill and Piping Competition

The RMC, so shortly after CATSEA, put together a great routine, winning both best guard and best guard commander for LCpl Luke, and have once again gone forward to represent the District at Area Drill and Piping competition.
The Colour Party won today, going forward to represent the District at Area. Well done for all your practices.
AC Peter in the individual piping, improved his position to 3rd, so again well done.
Thank you to the cadets and staff who have supported both today and over the past weeks to get us to where we are.

CATSEA

CATSEA

Congratulations to all those Royal Marines Cadets who participated in this year's CATSEA Field Assessment. Despite being slightly under strength, we achieved a score which now places us as one of the top detachments in the company. May I take this opportunity to thank all of you for your enthusiasm and commitment on the lead up to this weekend.
You have made me very proud to be your Detachment Commander.

Training that counts

Training that counts

I am delighted to announce that Bedfordshire Sea Cadets have got their RYA status. This is internationally recognised training and personal development and we hope will increase the number of locally produced boating qualifications.
After starting the project 2 years ago I am really pleased to have received our certification today.
The centre is open to all Bedfordshire Sea Cadets and I hope to start training pretty soon.
If you're interested in becoming a Sea Cadet to benefit from a practical and fun sport please find out how to join your local unit from http//sea cadets.org
We hope to provide training under the YOU programme at some point in the future.
