London Boat Show 2013

London Boat Show 2013

Southwark Sea Cadets began the new year visiting the London Boat Show at the ExCeL Exhibition Centre.

The wide range of exhibitors allowed our cadets to get a taste of the different types of boats and equipment used in them. There were some particularly interesting vessels, including personal watercrafts (PWCs) and hovercrafts.

The more interactive stands at the multi activity pools attracted the keen interest of our cadets. The cadets were invovled in a radio controlled yacht race, allowing them to put into practice the theory they had learned about points of sail. In addition, our cadets were booked in for a fun kayaking session, perfecting some of their paddle strokes.
